Are you looking to get married right here in Alberta?
There has always been lots of talk about destination weddings or needing to head to Canada’s surreal Rocky Mountains to get an amazing wedding experience, but lately I’m super proud of the local Alberta venues that are popping up on the map and getting the spotlight they deserve. Today I am going to list some of my absolute favourites at the moment, as someone who attends many weddings & events each year as a wedding photographer!
TOP ALBERTA WEDDING VENUES
Good News, here they are!
The Norland Historic Estate – I am starting this list off with MY favourite! This is, and probably will always be the top venue in all of Alberta to me. Please don’t dismiss it because of it’s location! Soon you as see the breathtaking character and charming outdoor escape surrounding it. I can guarantee you will fall in love as I did.
Flores and Pine – If you want a modern, yet classic venue AND are a huge foodie like me, this is your stop. With in house catering Flores & Pine meets every couples needs without having to search else where for the big stuff! I absolutely love their outdoor ceremony space with the beautiful brick fireplace.
Sparrow Lane Events – By now if you haven’t heard of this venue, I’ll be shocked! This is the first of its kind here in Alberta giving a true taste modern elegance to the country. Every square inch of the venue was designed to be magical and if you’re on the fence about this venue, well the owners are some of the best in the industry and I can assure your needs will be WELL taken care of. A FEW MORE…
LAST Modern Events – A new venue on the map that the creative couples need to consider! I am absolutely loving this space. From the classic touches of wainscotting on the walls to the funky washroom designs this space is a true “blank canvas” for couples who truly have a vision in mind on how they want their space to look. I’m excited to see what this year brings for this venue.
The Whitewood Barn – This is a fun one. Seriously, everything designed around this venue brings out the country chic vibe. From the arched walkway to the private garden style ceremony space and my absolute favourite, the outdoor Ramada making all your summer reception dreams come true.
Archway Manor – This venue stopped me right in my tracks. Opening in 2024. Archway Manor gives all the European elegance vibes. From their grande ballroom to the dreamy ceremony space. All future couples must consider this venue and the amazing promotions going on at the moment!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST…
Pine and Pond – This venue just warms my heart. It not only is a beautiful venue with every service you may need on your special day. The owners and staff are so wonderful are an absolute treat to work with! From the clear tent, ceremony location by the beautiful pond, the adorable row boat you can use for portraits, to the bride and groom getting ready suites AND the overnight cabin on site!! This venue truly has all the amenities.
The Fairmont Palliser – Who doesn’t love a classic, elegant wedding venue. This is last on the list but certainly not least. A classic charm that has been around for over 110 years, you won’t need much convincing once you step inside the brand new renovated ballroom and take in the luxurious space
