THE DETAILS OF AN EDMONTON ENGAGEMENT SESSION

When Jordan and Zach reached out for their engagement session I was ecstatic about their inspiration. They and tossed around ideas of champagne, charcuterie boards and a vintage car, I knew exactly the classic look we were going for! A 1956 Jaguar, custom florals, and a location with lavishing historic architecture. This session was an absolute VIBE! Who knew that Edmonton engagement photos could look this dreamy!

THE STORY

Amidst the hazy glow of a setting sun, Jordan and Zach embarked on a timeless journey in a sleek vintage Jaguar, capturing the essence of their love in each candid film photo.

Against the historic backdrop of the Old Legislature Building in Edmonton, Alberta. Jordan and Zach celebrated their engagement. From the grandeur of the historic architecture to the sleek 1956 vintage Jaguar with aged leather seats covered in custom florals. All the details of this engagement session served as a timeless canvas for their love story.

By embracing the art of film photography for their engagement session, Jordan and Zach allowed me to capture the genuine warmth of their connection, etching their love story onto the tangible canvas of film, creating timeless memories that would develop and unfold with the passage of time. Their love was eternalized in the elegant embrace of this iconic Alberta landmark.

This will soon be a snip-it in their life together, but one that will be nostalgic for years to come as these two go on their journey through life together.

Tips To Planning Your Edmonton Engagement Photos

HAVE A PLAN OR FUN IDEA: Firstly, there is nothing more boring that just getting dressed up and showing up to a random location you didn’t choose. Chat with your fiancé and decide on an activity that you both enjoy doing! Then try to choose a location that has a meaning to you two. Whether it’s going for ice cream or an evening stroll on Whyte Avenue. This gives your session so much more meaning and you will allow a greater sentimental value when you receive your images. Sit down and have a plan, so we can let those genuine emotions flow organically.

PLAN YOUR OUTFITS: This should be an exciting part! Well, not the actual planning of the outfits, but making it a special occasion! Head to your favourite boutique and treat you and your future hubby with new outfits for your special evening. These photos are the only chance you get, and putting your time into choosing your outfits will surely pay off!

MAKE IT A DATE NIGHT: This goes along with the first tip. I always tell my couples to treat this session as a very fun date night. During the session we can plan a fun activity. Afterwards make sure to plan some a fun evening maybe followed by a dinner date! Again, this milestone of your life only happens once, so make it a memorable one!
